Getting There
Most Anacapa Island trips begin by meeting at the ferry (Island Packers) in the Oxnard Harbor on the morning of your trip. You will meet your guide here and load the ferry the Vanguard.
The channel crossing takes a little less than an hour depending on the sea conditions and wildlife we encounter along the way. Santa Barbara Channel waters are rich with marine life -- dolphins and sea lions abound. In the spring and fall, migrating whales are frequently spotted during our crossing to the island.

The Guided Tour

Turn any scheduled Anacapa Island Tour into two days of guided kayaking around the East and Middle Anacapa Island! You'll experience everything found on the One Day tour on your first day. Spend day two exploring more sea caves and kayaking around the south side of the island and hopefully make it to Frenchys cove for lunch. Camp the night in Anacapa's small campground with 360 degree views of the Pacific Ocean.
The multi day trips allow you to not only get away from every day life a little longer, it allows you to see more of Anacapa Island. In addition to multiple days of kayaking tours, self-led hikes and snorkeling opportunities are sure to be rewarding!
We'll begin our first day's kayaking tour as soon as we arrive at the island and unload all of our gear from the ferry. After our first day of kayaking we hike approximately a 1/2 mile to the top of East Anacapa Valley, where you will stay the night in your own campsite, in the National Park campground. Pit bathrooms are provided, along with a picnic table at each site. There are no campfires allowed and cooking is typically done with gas camping stoves. Take the evening hike to Inspiration Point for a spectacular sunset of the Channel Islands!
Day two brings more kayaking. Explore more caves around Arch Rock, visit the south side of East Anacapa, re-visit cathedral cove, and spend more time checking out the local wildlife from your kayak! More self-led hiking and snorkeling and relaxation are possible in the afternoon before boarding the Island Packer's ferry for the trip to the mainland.
