These trips do not require any previous kayaking experience, but y ou must know how to swim. We will teach you kayaking basics and how to re-enter your kayak prior to getting on the water.

Our Guides:
Paddle Sports employs and trains friendly outdoor professionals that specialize in leading and teaching groups of kayakers with little or no experience.

Kids:
We can accomodate all ages over 5. Children under 12 will be in tandem kayaks with their parent or guardian for the duration of the trip.

Overview

The Santa Barbara Harbor Tour provides a perfect introduction to kayaking and is ideal for the whole family.

A fun and easy paddle winds through the beautiful Santa Barbara Harbor, under historic Stearns Wharf, and out to the one mile buoy. Along the way we watch sea lions, harbor seals, dolphins, and the many sea birds that live along the coast.

Our professional guides expound on the natural and cultural history of the Santa Barbara Harbor and surrounding area.

This tour starts at our dockside location in the Santa Barbara Harbor near Brophy Brothers Restaurant, a 5 minute walk from Santa Barbara waterfront lodging. An excellent afternoon, or morning activity for everyone of all ages and skill levels.
 
All participants must know how to swim.
