The surf zone is one of the most exciting areas to paddle. In this course you will learn the physical and mental skills necessary to enter and exit the surf zone safely, and under control.
You will spend one-on-one time with your instructor practicing launching, bracing, side surfing, landing, and timing in the surf. Discussions include wave shapes and dynamics, anatomy of the surf zone, beach characteristics, launching and landing options, surf zone rescues, and safety.
If time allows, we'll try catching a few waves for fun. |
